The Quest for NYDJ Tummy Tuck Jeans
On my mother’s birthday, my sister, my father and I decided to get her a pair of Tummy Tuck Jeans. Of course my father had no interest and went of to search for mens clothing (specifically plus size swimwear and Mens Suits for work of course,) but I thought that my mother should try something new. She always wears dresses since she says she looks to fat in her jeans. Mom is a pretty cool lady (where else would we get our coolness genes?). She was pretty much the jazzy chic in her younger years (then we showed up). This brand proved to be the best non-mom jeans for women of her body type, which is petite but a bit on the plus size. On the big day, we treated her to a girls-only day to the spa and then to Bloomingdales, where you can buy NYDJ off the rack. Like I said, NYDJ are the ultimate non-mom jeans. The pants are made in such a way that they flatten the tummy and lift your back side a bit to bring out the curves in the right places. And –get this – there are no elastics waistbands and corsets involved.
Understand that elastic waistbands only bunch up the fabric around your waist, accentuating it in the wrong way. Corsets constrict your movement –and attitude, which may work for the PTA meeting but not for the casual afternoon out with the ladies.
NYDJ’s styles and washes are ultra sophisticated. The pairs with embellishments are understated and classy. Nothing faddish or boring. They’re easy to pair up with your favorite top. You can dress it up with a pair of sexy heels or go all sporty with those well-loved sneakers. This is how flexible your jeans should be.
Let me emphasize though that NYDJ is not for moms or for women of a certain age. I’ll admit that I’ve gotten a little pouch since I got married (my version of the father figure). I’m more of a casual chic at work and lately, going to the office in jeans made me feel less of the respectable pro I’ve worked so long and hard for.
Naturally, I couldn’t help pick out a pair for myself at that birthday outing. It took care of that little paunch and the style was all grown-up and right for me. I feel young without looking immature.

Please ladies, there is no excuse for looking like a pillow with a belt tied around the middle. Looking good involves some investments, which go a very long way.
